Sample Itinerary - Victoria Tour
Day 1: West Vancouver to Victoria
- 8:45 am – Students check in with the DCSA guide at West Van Secondary School (1750 Mathers Ave, West Vancouver)
- 9:00 am – Depart for Victoria
- 11:00 am – 12:30 pm – Ferry through the Gulf Islands (lunch available onboard; packed lunch recommended)
- Scenic coastal drive tour through James Bay and Oak Bay
- Drive along Beach Drive to Beacon Hill Park; stop at Mile 0 for pictures
- Victoria city tour: Fisherman’s Wharf, Bellville Street, Government Street, Empress Hotel, Chinatown, and Wharf Street
- Check in at downtown hotel and enjoy free time to use the hotel facilities
- Evening: Meet your guide in the lobby and depart for dinner (own expense)
Day 2: Victoria to West Vancouver
- 8:00 am – Breakfast included at the hotel
- Free time to explore Inner Harbour and shop on Government Street
- Optional: Visit the Royal BC Museum or join a whale watching tour (10:00 am–1:00 pm; additional cost)
- 1:30 pm – Depart for Goldstream Park for a short hike in old-growth forest with waterfalls and trees over 600 years old
- Continue to Malahat Skywalk (admission included):
- Enjoy a TreeWalk through forest and ascend a 32m spiral ramp to a lookout with views of Finlayson Arm, Saanich Peninsula, Mount Baker, and the Coast Mountains
- 5:55 pm – Ferry from Swartz Bay to Horseshoe Bay
- Return to West Van Secondary School around 8:00 pm
